Lionel Messi is quite likely to get suspended at his current club Paris Saint Germain. The Argentine violated the rules and is set to face the punishment.

Messi took an unauthorized trip to Saudi Arabia for two days recently. Pictures were shared by Saudi Arabia's Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al Khabeeb. And the French club have decided to suspend the player for two weeks.

According to reports, Messi will be suspended without pay for the next two weeks and will be missing the next couple of Ligue 1 games. His contract expires at the end of the season, which he signed during his arrival at the French giants in 2021.

Now if the ban is imposed on the Argentine star, the former Barcelona player will lose a fortune.

Lionel Messi's current contract at PSG ends at the end of this season. It is unlikely that the 35-year-old will pen another fresh term at the Ligue 1 outfit. He has been linked with a move back to his old club Barcelona, but the player is also poised with a move to other destinations.
