Lionel Messi: How many Inter Miami games Argentine great will miss while on national duty?

Ever since the arrival of Lionel Messi to Inter Miami, the MLS franchise have looked like a completely different side who are yet to lose a game. The David Beckham-owned team was one of the biggest underperformers in the league which changed radically after Messi's inclusion.

Lionel Messi left the French capital after two seasons to move to the MLS and since then, he has not only met but exceeded all expectations.

Messi has already won a trophy with his new club, helping Inter Miami win the Leagues Cup on penalties against Nashville SC, the Florida club's first-ever trophy. Messi was the top scorer of the tournament as well as the player of the tournament.

The Argentina international is also in another final, having helped the Herons defeat FC Cincinnati on penalties to advance to the US Open Cup final where they will face Houston Dynamo. Messi also made his MLS debut memorable with an emphatic 2-0 victory over NY Red Bulls where he scored a goal.

However, for some time the Herons have to be accustomed without the World Cup winner with Messi set to be unavailable for at least three games in September. Messi will get called up to play for the Argentina national team during the upcoming international break.

But during that time Inter Miami's schedule will continue and they will cope with life without him. Messi is almost confirmed to miss Inter Miami's games against Los Angeles FC, Kansas City, and Atlanta United.

During this period Messi will help Argentina to beat Ecuador and Bolivia in the World Cup qualification games. Messi will also miss further MLS games in October and November as well where Argentine will compete against the likes of Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Brazil.
