Liverpool Triumphs Over Brighton 2-1 With Salah's Stunning Second-Half Goal

In a thrilling match, Liverpool came from behind to defeat Brighton 2-1 at Anfield. Mohamed Salah's brilliant goal secured the win, propelling Liverpool to the top of the Premier League table.

Liverpool staged a remarkable second-half comeback to secure a 2-1 victory over Brighton at Anfield, reclaiming the Premier League's top spot. Ferdi Kadioglu gave Brighton an early lead with a stunning goal in the 14th minute. Despite dominating the first half, Brighton couldn't capitalise on their chances.

Cody Gakpo, who scored twice against Brighton in the EFL Cup earlier that week, levelled the score in the 69th minute. His cross narrowly missed Darwin Nunez and found its way into the net. Just three minutes later, Mohamed Salah sealed the win with his signature left-footed shot past Bart Verbruggen.

Salah Leads Liverpool to Comeback Win Over Brighton

With Arsenal and Manchester City both losing, Liverpool now leads the league with 25 points after ten games. They are two points ahead of their closest rivals. Meanwhile, Brighton sits in seventh place.

Salah's decisive goal marked his 48th match-winning strike in Premier League history. Only five players have achieved more. He also extended his impressive record against Brighton, having scored ten goals and provided six assists against them in the league.

Since Brighton joined the Premier League in 2017, Salah has been involved in more goals against them than any other player has against a single opponent, except for his own record against Manchester United with 18 goal involvements.

Arne Slot's Impact at Liverpool

Under manager Arne Slot, Liverpool has won eight of their first ten Premier League matches this season (D1 L1). This is the best start by any Reds manager in their first ten top-flight games at the club.

Liverpool's resurgence under Slot has been marked by strong performances and strategic gameplay. The team's ability to turn matches around has been crucial to their current standing at the top of the league table.
