The summer of 2024 marked the beginning of a new chapter for Liverpool FC, as the club transitioned under the leadership of their new head coach, Arne Slot.
Despite the excitement surrounding Slot's appointment, the transfer window concluded on a relatively subdued note, with the Reds making only two significant signings while parting ways with several players, either through sales, loans, or releases.

Liverpool's two key acquisitions arrived late in the window, with the club securing goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili and winger Federico Chiesa. Mamardashvili, signed from Valencia for an initial fee of £25 million, will remain on loan in Spain for the season, meaning only Chiesa will join Liverpool's squad this year.
The Italian winger was a bargain signing at just £10 million from Juventus and is expected to make an immediate impact at Anfield, having penned a four-year contract.
On the outgoing front, Liverpool capitalized on the potential of several young talents, securing notable fees for their departures. Among the most significant sales were Fabio Carvalho and Sepp van den Berg, both of whom joined Premier League rivals Brentford for around £20 million each.
Additionally, Red Bull Salzburg snapped up promising midfielder Bobby Clark for approximately £10 million. Salzburg also secured the services of Stefan Bajcetic on a season-long loan, providing the youngster with valuable playing time as he continues his development following a serious muscle injury.
Meanwhile, Ben Doak was sent to Middlesbrough on loan to gain more experience. Veteran players Joel Matip and Adrian were released after their contracts expired, signaling the end of their time at Anfield.
