Bengaluru, September 6: Even though the transfer window has ended, we get to see plenty of transfer links around Europe as teams always look to improve in terms of both depth and quality.

Liverpool had a pretty decent transfer window. The only regret the fans might have is that the club could not sign a quality centre-back throughout the summer despite their defence being not so impressive.

It is really a bit surprising to see the Reds still being linked with another midfielder but the rumour mill claims that Jurgen Klopp is looking to add Barcelona outcast Rafinha Alcantara to his squad in January.

The Brazilian international is reportedly concerned about lack of playing time this season following the signing of his compatriot Paulinho. At the same time, Sergi Roberto is also likely to play in midfield this season which doubles his concern.

Rumours claim that both Liverpool and AC Milan are high on alert and could be launching a bid for the 24-year-old in the next transfer window.

Ernesto Valverde is not willing to lose Rafinha but he also cannot offer him regular playing time which is why Barcelona are said to be open to let him leave provided a buy-back clause is inserted in his contract.

The relationship between Liverpool and Barcelona is not particularly good right now following the Philippe Coutinho saga this summer. Also, Liverpool are packed with options in midfield. So, AC Milan surely hold an edge over the Reds for the Brazilian’s signature.

Rafinha is a versatile player who can play anywhere in midfield and also out wide. He boasts amazing technical abilities and goalscoring prowess, exactly what you expect from a Brazilian.

We have to wait and see what awaits the talented playmaker in the future but AC Milan surely looks like a more likely destination compared to Anfield.
