The Reds' current lead is their largest since they last won the title in the 2019-20 season, where they finished with an 18-point margin. Slot praised his team's effort but remained cautious about getting carried away by the win. "Yeah [it was almost a perfect match], and if you look at the work-rate, I think it was perfect," he said.

Slot acknowledged that despite missing several chances, his team deserved the win. He noted that Salah missed a significant opportunity after intercepting a pass from Bernardo Silva but failed to score against Stefan Ortega. "But maybe that's nice for matches like this. It should be like this," Slot remarked.
