Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has recently spoken about his focus during the intense Premier League season, particularly during the hectic festive period.
Despite the potential distractions of their rivals' performances, the Dutch international has remained unfazed and says he has spent time with his family instead of focusing on rival matches.

After a triumphant victory at Burnley propelled Liverpool to the summit of the Premier League table on Boxing Day, Jurgen Klopp gave his squad a well-deserved breather, awarding them two days of respite amidst a rare five-day gap without a match.
The Reds currently occupy the top spot on the virtue of a superior goal difference with Aston Villa. And Van Dijk says he prefers to spend time with his family instead of watching rival teams.
"We've had a couple of days to spend with our families before we focus on another big game on New Year's Day," Van Dijk said.
On the question of him paying attention to Man City or Arsenal's results, Van Dijk said, "Not at all. I didn't even watch football. I was spending time with my family. We've been away so much recently."
"I don't speak about winning the league at this point. I don't think anyone in this team will do that because we know from experience that anything can happen. What we are striving for is consistency and just winning the game ahead of us, which has been key to our success previously," he further said on the title race.
The Merseyside club will be hoping to continue their merry run in the league as they play with Newcastle United on New Year's Day.
