Mohamed Salah acknowledged the changes under Arne Slot after Liverpool's 2-0 victory against Ipswich Town in their Premier League opener. Salah, celebrating his 350th appearance for Liverpool, assisted Diogo Jota's goal and scored himself, marking a successful start post-Jurgen Klopp at Portman Road.
Slot became the first Liverpool manager to win his debut Premier League match since Graeme Souness in April 1991. Despite the new system, Salah encouraged his teammates to embrace the transition. "Jurgen was with us for eight years, giving everything. Now, it's a new manager and system. It's different for all of us; we need to adapt," said Salah.

Salah's performance set a Premier League record, making him the leader for goals (nine) and direct goal involvements (14) on opening day matches. "Hopefully, I keep going like this for the whole season!" he added. Salah's overall goal involvement tally for Liverpool now stands at 300 across all competitions.
Salah admitted that players are still adjusting under Slot but stressed the importance of enjoying their games without adding pressure on the new manager. "We don't need to put more pressure on him; we just need to play football and enjoy our games," he stated.
The match against Ipswich Town was challenging due to warm weather and a tough home crowd. "It was quite tough today; the weather was really warm, it's a tough team. When they play home especially, it's quite tough," Salah noted. He expressed satisfaction with the win and his contribution to the team's success.
"The crowd is always up. We knew that before the game; we're experienced, so we expected a tough game," said Salah. His efforts were crucial in securing Liverpool's victory and setting a positive tone for the season ahead.
Salah remains committed to helping his team by scoring goals or assisting whenever possible. "I always try to help the team all the time; I'm always happy to score goals or assist," he mentioned.
The victory at Portman Road signifies a promising start under Arne Slot's leadership as Liverpool navigates life after Jurgen Klopp.
