Liverpools Emre Can forced out of Germany training with back injury

London, March 22: Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has been left out of the preliminary squad of the Germany national team which are due to face friendlies against Spain and Brazil in the coming weeks due to a back problem.

The 24-year-old was forced off after just 27 minutes during Liverpool's last game which they won 5-0 with a back pain. Following the game manager, Jurgen Klopp also insisted that the injury was not serious at all and the player will be allowed to join the national side.

German boss Joachim Low also took the chance and keep the midfielder with his Germany squad for the friendlies. However, after just 15 minutes training with the national side on Wednesday apparently, the player again felt the pain and was forced to leave training.

The player now has been withdrawn from the Germany team but a return date from this latest setback is unknown as of yet.

On the other news, the Liverpool midfielder also has given another update on his future. The German midfielder's contract is set to expire in the Summer this year and there have been continuous rumours that the player is willing to leave the side after turning down a contract extension with Juventus, Bayern Munich and Manchester City as potential suitors.

Now, the former Leverkusen player has reiterated his desire of leaving the side and hinted that he could well leave the club on a free transfer in the coming Summer. Although he did not name any particular side but suggested he wishes to join 'a big club' and would not rule out any of Europe's top five leagues as a potential destination.

"I have the self-confidence to say that my qualities are sufficient to play in a very big club next season," Can told.

"I'm doing great in England. The Spanish league is also attractive. The same applies to Germany, where tactics are concerned, and the Italian club football, which has recently caught up.

"Incidentally, the same applies to France, this league has now established itself as one of the best in Europe. Therefore, I do not want to exclude anything because I do not know what I will do from the summer."

Can has been on top form for Liverpool this season and has played 37 games in all competitions so far scoring six goals and assisting five cementing his place in the starting XI regularly.
