Bengaluru, January 26: Scottish sensation Tony Gallacher is closing in on a dream move to Liverpool after reports emerged that Falkirk have accepted a £200,000 bid for the full-back.
The 18-year-old spent a week training with the Reds this month and Jurgen Klopp has sanctioned a six-figure bid and the Scot youngster will start out with the development squad.
It’s understood Falkirk have negotiated add-ons and a sell-on clause for their academy graduate.
The defender, who made his debut at 16, has previously been scouted by Manchester United and a host of other British clubs.
However, Liverpool seems to have finally won the race for the exciting young full-back who boasts a brilliant attacking prowess from the left-back position.
One player who is set to exit Anfield is Lazar Markovic who has been out of favour at Anfield for quite some time.
Spartak Moscow have expressed an interest in him, and are reportedly set to make a move to sign the Serbian international on a permanent basis.
The 23-year-old has endured a miserable time at Anfield and is surplus to requirements under Jurgen Klopp.
The star knows he needs to move in order to reignite his career - and the The Liverpool Echo claim that Spartak are ready to offer him a lifeline.
Klopp is open to offers for the winger as interested clubs began to plot their approach.
Liverpool forked out £20million to sign the attacker back in July 2014.
But since his arrival from Benfica he has failed to justify that hefty price tag.
Markovic scored three times in 34 matches during his first campaign on Merseyside but has not played for the club since May 2015.
Loan spells at Fenerbahce and Sporting Lisbon failed to help him secure a permanent transfer away.
He has not played a single minute for Liverpool this season and desperately needs a move to resurrect his career.
