The Reds trail fourth-placed Manchester United by seven points having played a game more. They still have their top-four hopes alive but will have to rely on faltering from the Red Devils or Newcastle United.

There are no fresh injury concerns for Tottenham as they travel to Merseyside. Ibrahima Konate should be fit in time to face Spurs, as should Diogo Jota after picking up a knock in the West Ham win.

Naby Keita returned to training this week but is unlikely to be risked. Roberto Firmino and Stefan Bajcetic remain out. Hugo Lloris is still out with a hip problem, so Fraser Forster will continue in goal for Spurs. Yves Bissouma, Ryan Sessegnon, Emerson Royal and Rodrigo Bentancur remain on the treatment table for now.
