Liverpool back in Champions League final mix with win against Tottenham

London, Jan.21 (ANI): Liverpool FC are back in the Champions League final mix by coming within a point of fourth-placed Tottenham.

"The race for fourth is between four teams now. We are back amongst them. We knew we had to reduce the gap to stay in the race and it was important to win here. I'm really pleased with the players," The Sun quoted club coach Rafa Benitez, as saying.They (players) showed real character. Now, I think we will get stronger over the second half of the season," he added.

Benitez, who saw his team strike twice against the Hotspurs, was earlier tagged one of the world's best five managers by co-owner George Gillett.

He added: "It's always important to win for confidence, especially against a good side. (ANI)
