London, August 26: Chelsea are reportedly eyeing a late move to sign Swansea City striker Fernando Llorente to strengthen their attacking line-up.

The Blues boss Antonio Conte refused to comment on reports that Chelsea are hoping to lure the player from Swansea City just ahead of next week's transfer deadline.

However as per a Telegraph report, the Premier League winners have already made another approach for the 32-year-old, who has only one year remaining on his contract with the welsh club.

Conte previously worked with Llorente at Juventus and won the league once.

The former Athletic Bilbao and Sevilla star joined Swansea in 2016 from Juventus and has scored 15 goals in 35 appearances for the club helping them to avoid relegation last year.

He is yet to play this season after suffering a fracture to his arm in a cycling accident while on holiday, with his recovery taking longer than expected but manager Paul Clement and Swans executive Huw Jenkins both have suggested that the striker is not for sale and they are planning to offer him a new two-year deal.

However, Swansea could reportedly okay the deal if the striker decides to make a transfer request.

But the Welsh side is adamant that they could make the player stay at the club and while could complete another deal for Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony to strengthen their squad.

Apart from Llorente, Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ross Barkley of Everton and Leicester's Danny Drinkwater are also believed to be on the Blues radar.
