London giants interested in former Barcelona boss Enrique

Former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique

Bengaluru, February 13: Former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique has decided that he will manage in the Premier League next season.

The former Barcelona boss has been tipped to take the job at Chelsea, should Antonio Conte face the sack while their rivals Arsenal could also be interested in the summer, should Arsene Wenger step down from his position.

French giants Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on the former Barca manager, with Unai Emery likely to leave in the summer.

But reports in Spain on Sunday claimed Enrique, 47, is waiting to see whether Chelsea or Arsenal become available first as he wants to live the dream of managing a Premier League side.

PSG director Antero Henrique had sounded out Jose Mourinho before the Manchester United boss and wants to know Enrique's intentions before making a decision on the future of their manager.

AC Milan are also keeping tabs on the former Real Madrid and Barcelona attacker but they will know that it will be hard for them to lure the treble-winning manager.

Gennaro Gattuso is currently in charge, but his future will depend on how they finish the season — and Champions League qualification rests solely on winning the Europa League this season.

Enrique's previous spell in Serie A was a disaster as he led big-spending Roma to seventh and was widely criticised for replacing Francesco Totti during a Europa League defeat to Slovan Bratislava.

Conte's time at Chelsea appears to be coming to an end following poor run of results.

Enrique is the frontrunner to replace him, but Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri is also in the running.

Sarri has led Napoli to become one of the most feared sides in Europe and are in the running for the Serie A crown this campaign. It is no surprise to see him being linked with big jobs around Europe.
