Paris Saint-Germain's resilience was praised by Luis Enrique following their comeback win against Lens. M'Bala Nzola had given Will Still's team the lead nine minutes before half-time, putting PSG at risk of their first Ligue 1 loss this season. However, Fabian Ruiz equalised just before the hour mark, and Bradley Barcola scored the decisive goal in the 86th minute.
The victory propelled PSG to a 10-point lead at the top of the standings and extended their unbeaten away streak in the league to 33 games. They have not lost any of their last six away matches across all competitions, winning four and drawing two. This is their longest unbeaten run since November 2023 to April 2024, where they won 12 and drew three.

In the match against Lens, PSG managed only two shots in the first half, marking their lowest first-half shot count in a Ligue 1 game since January 29, 2023, against Reims. "It was a very contested, very difficult match," Luis Enrique stated. He noted that all matches are challenging, especially when facing an opponent with strong defensive character and aggression.
Enrique mentioned that while PSG started with control, difficulties arose in the latter part of the first half as Lens became more threatening. The second half saw an improvement with more opportunities created. "The rhythm wasn't enough in the first half," he added, emphasising the need for more depth in their play.
Before facing Lens at Stade Bollaert-Delelis, PSG announced Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's signing from Napoli for a reported £70 million. Although Kvaratskhelia did not travel with the squad for this match, Luis Enrique anticipates his involvement soon. "We wanted to sign him for a long time," Enrique said, highlighting his experience and skills as valuable additions to PSG's squad.
"He has experience, personality, and he knows how to score, dribble, and defend," Enrique continued. He expressed confidence that Kvaratskhelia would showcase his quality with PSG. The Georgian winger is expected to enhance an already strong team.
PSG now shifts focus to the Champions League where they currently rank 25th out of 36 teams with two league phase games left. They will host Manchester City at Parc des Princes on Wednesday before heading to Germany for their final match against Stuttgart.
This upcoming schedule presents significant challenges as PSG aims to improve their position in European competition while maintaining domestic success. The team's recent form suggests they are well-prepared for these crucial encounters.
