Luis Enrique Commends Paris Saint-Germain's Efficiency Following 4-2 Win Against Angers

Luis Enrique praised Paris Saint-Germain for their efficient performance in a 4-2 victory over Angers. The team showcased significant attacking improvements and remains unbeaten in Ligue 1.

Paris Saint-Germain showcased their attacking prowess with a 4-2 victory over Angers in Ligue 1. This win came after a disappointing 2-1 loss to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. PSG's first-half performance was dominant, scoring all four goals and maintaining their unbeaten league record. They managed 26 shots, with 12 on target, and accumulated an expected goals (xG) of 3.5.

Luis Enrique praised the team's efficiency, noting significant improvement in their attack. "It was a very complete game for our team," he stated during a news conference. He acknowledged that the earlier issues with finishing are being resolved as they continue to improve. Enrique emphasised the importance of this match, highlighting the stakes involved.

PSG's Efficiency Shines in 4-2 Win

Currently leading Ligue 1 with 29 points, PSG is six points ahead of Monaco. However, their European campaign is challenging as they sit in the elimination zone, ranked 25th out of 36 teams midway through the group stage. Despite this, Luis Enrique remains optimistic about their prospects in Europe's top club competition.

Enrique expressed confidence in his squad's ability to excel in Europe, stating, "This team has good players. The quality is there." He believes that regardless of who plays, including new additions, they will rise to the occasion and score many goals. He suggested that pressure might be affecting their Champions League form but insisted that success is within reach.

A Dedication to Rafel Pol's Family

The victory over Angers was dedicated to assistant coach Rafel Pol following his wife's passing after a prolonged illness. Luis Enrique shared heartfelt condolences: "We want to dedicate this victory to Raquel and Rafel, and, of course, to their family. We share their grief and send them lots of support."

As PSG continues its domestic dominance, challenges remain on the European front. Yet, with a talented squad and determined leadership under Luis Enrique, they aim to overcome these hurdles and achieve success across all competitions.
