Paris Saint-Germain's manager, Luis Enrique, remains optimistic about his team's performance despite a challenging start to their Ligue 1 title defence. PSG are currently unbeaten in the league and hold second place, trailing Monaco by two points. The team has drawn two of their seven matches, including their recent game against Nice, both draws occurring away from home.
In the Champions League, PSG faced a setback with a 2-0 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. This defeat means they have not won in their last two outings across all competitions. Despite this, Enrique is positive as they prepare for Saturday's home match against Strasbourg. He stated, "The start of the season in general has been very positive, even more positive than I imagined."

Enrique refrained from commenting on media reports about his contract extension with PSG until official confirmation is provided by the club. He acknowledged that throughout a season, there are ups and downs but noted that they haven't experienced any bad spells yet. "We would like to win every game, but that is not possible in football," he added.
The upcoming match against Strasbourg follows an international break during which many PSG players were active. Enrique acknowledges this will influence the game. "We have to bear in mind playing time with international teams, travel time, and fatigue," he said. Returning after an international break is never easy.
One player who excelled internationally is Randal Kolo Muani. He scored twice for France in their 2-1 victory over Belgium on Monday. Enrique expressed satisfaction with his players' international performances: "That is certainly good news for me as a coach."
Strasbourg currently sit seventh in the league standings, seven points behind PSG. They have only lost once this season. Enrique anticipates a challenging match against them and expects both teams to have opportunities to score.
As PSG continue their campaign, they aim to maintain their strong form while addressing challenges posed by international duties and tough opponents like Strasbourg.
