Paris Saint-Germain's coach, Luis Enrique, expressed admiration for Senny Mayulu following the young midfielder's standout performance in a 4-2 victory against Strasbourg. The 18-year-old opened the scoring for PSG, marking their sixth win in eight Ligue 1 matches this season. This win keeps them ahead of Monaco on goal difference at the top of the table.
Mayulu's contribution is noteworthy as PSG remains the only team in Europe's top five leagues with two goalscorers born in 2006 or later this season. Warren Zaire-Emery also scored earlier this term. Mayulu's passing accuracy was impressive at 92.3%, surpassed only by Willian Pacho (92.5%) and Milan Skriniar (96.5%). Joao Neves was the only player to contest more duels than Mayulu's 16.

Luis Enrique praised Mayulu's potential, saying, "He's showing he has great potential, personality, and skills." He added that Mayulu is effective in the box and could have scored more goals during the match. Enrique expressed satisfaction that Mayulu stayed in Paris, believing he will bring joy to the team.
Enrique's squad, featuring other young talents like Desire Doue and Zaire-Emery, has netted 25 goals across eight league games. He emphasised the importance of giving young players opportunities to play under pressure to foster their growth. "There must be matches with tension," he said, highlighting trust as crucial for development.
Marco Asensio, Bradley Barcola, and Lee Kang-in also found the net against Strasbourg, demonstrating PSG's diverse attacking capabilities. Enrique aims to develop a balanced team rather than relying on individual brilliance. "My goal is to develop the team," he stated.
The coach stressed that contributions from all players are vital for success in both attack and defence. Winning titles while playing optimally remains PSG's primary objective under his leadership.
Looking ahead, PSG will face PSV on Tuesday in the Champions League after a defeat by Arsenal in their previous outing.
