Paris Saint-Germain's recent performances have been impressive, but Luis Enrique emphasised the need for focus as they prepare to face Toulouse in Ligue 1 on Saturday. PSG have netted 23 goals in their last seven matches across all competitions and are currently enjoying a 17-match unbeaten streak.
In their latest Champions League play-off first leg against Brest, PSG secured a commanding 3-0 victory. This marked the fourth consecutive Champions League match where they scored three or more goals, a feat previously achieved only once in 2017. They lead the Ligue 1 table with 53 points from 21 games, remaining undefeated with 16 wins and five draws.

PSG could become the fourth team to remain unbeaten in their first 22 top-flight matches if they defeat Toulouse. The previous teams to achieve this were PSG themselves in the 1985-86 (26) and 2015-16 (27) seasons, and Nantes in the 1994-95 season (32).
"We are in a very special moment," said Luis Enrique. "The whole team is effective, which makes us very happy; it gives us energy to continue fighting in all competitions." He added that players must feel trusted, which is why he frequently changes starting line-ups. "Our main idea is to be unpredictable for the opposition and predictable for ourselves," he stated.
The coach also praised Joao Neves, who has excelled since joining from Benfica last year. Neves leads PSG in duels won (101) and assists (seven) this season. "He arrived with his qualities," Enrique noted. "We knew he was going to be a very important player for us."
PSG have dominated Toulouse historically, winning 24 of their last 29 encounters across all competitions since 2010. However, Toulouse have not won any of their last five Ligue 1 matches, drawing three and losing two. This is their longest winless run since October to December 2023 when they went ten games without a victory.
Despite Toulouse's current form, Luis Enrique remains cautious of Carles Martinez Novell's side. "They have been struggling at home recently," he said. "But their coach knows our style of play very well." He recalled that PSG failed to beat Toulouse last season in Ligue 1.
Luis Enrique concluded by acknowledging the challenge posed by Toulouse: "Their coach knows how to cause us problems." As PSG aim to extend their unbeaten run, maintaining focus will be crucial against a team familiar with their tactics.
