Luis Enrique believes it is unnecessary to overanalyse Paris Saint-Germain's recent 2-1 loss to Strasbourg in Ligue 1. The defeat marked PSG's second consecutive league loss, following a previous setback against Nice. Despite the result, Enrique expressed satisfaction with his team's performance, noting that his objectives were largely achieved.
Strasbourg, currently fourth in the league and aiming for a Champions League spot, took an early lead. Mamadou Sarr's header deflected off Lucas Hernandez into the net in the 20th minute. Felix Lemarechal then doubled their advantage with a stunning shot into the top corner before halftime.

Enrique fielded a significantly rotated squad, likely with an eye on the upcoming Champions League semi-final against Arsenal. The starting lineup included four academy graduates: Warren Zaire-Emery, Senny Mayulu, Axel Tape, and Ibrahim Mbaye. This made PSG the first team in Europe's top five leagues to start a match with four players born in 2006 or later.
After halftime, PSG responded quickly as Bradley Barcola scored just 44 seconds into the second half. Despite their efforts to equalise, including missed chances by Goncalo Ramos and a late attempt saved by Djordje Petrovic, PSG couldn't find another goal.
Enrique praised his young players' performances and highlighted their potential. "I am very proud of the young players," he stated. He also acknowledged Strasbourg's quality and experience, which made them tough opponents. "It's not easy to play against this Strasbourg team," he added.
The focus now shifts to Wednesday's crucial Champions League semi-final second leg against Arsenal at Parc des Princes. PSG holds a slim 1-0 lead from the first leg and will aim to secure their place in the final.
Enrique emphasised the need for recovery and preparation ahead of facing Arsenal. "Now, we have to recover and enter a phase of immersion for Wednesday's match [against Arsenal]," he said. The team will look to build on their narrow advantage as they aim for European success.
