Luis Enrique has commended Habib Beye's immediate influence at Rennes as Paris Saint-Germain prepares for their match at Roazhon Park this Saturday. Beye took over from Jorge Sampaoli in January and has led the team to four victories in five games, a stark contrast to their previous four losses. This achievement is just one win shy of Rennes' total in their first 19 matches of the season.
PSG's lead in Ligue 1 is significant, standing at 13 points. However, they are also focused on their upcoming Champions League clash against Liverpool at Anfield. Luis Enrique observed his team dominate but ultimately lose to Harvey Elliott's late goal, making their path to the next round challenging. Despite this, Enrique remains concentrated on the Rennes match.

Beye's success surpasses that of his predecessors this season. Julien Stephan managed only three wins, while Sampaoli secured two victories in eight games. Sebastien Tambouret lost his sole match as interim coach before Beye's appointment. "It's obvious that they've been on a very good run since the change of coach," said Luis Enrique.
Enrique acknowledged the difficulty of forming quick connections with players but praised Rennes for doing an excellent job. He noted their aggressive defence and risk-taking approach, especially when playing at home. "They have a very positive dynamic," he added, recognising their motivation to challenge PSG.
This weekend will mark Desire Doue's return to Rennes after joining PSG last August. Doue has impressed with seven goals and 10 assists in 36 appearances this season. In Ligue 1, only Ousmane Dembele has completed more dribbles than Doue, who has also created numerous chances for his teammates.
Discussing Doue's progress, Luis Enrique stated: "There are no two similar paths." He highlighted that some players adapt faster than others and praised Doue's versatility and performance consistency with PSG.
PSG faces a tight schedule with only two days between matches, focusing more on recovery than training before facing Rennes. Despite having 27 shots against Liverpool, PSG failed to score and lost, echoing a similar record against Borussia Dortmund last year.
The upcoming match against Rennes is crucial as they have won three of their last five home games against PSG in Ligue 1. Luis Enrique emphasised his focus on pre-match preparations with Rennes despite the challenges posed by the short turnaround time.
