Bengaluru, November 23: Indian Super League is right now into its fourth season and we have seen many high-profile players plying their trades in the League thus far. One of the biggest names to come to India to play in the Indian Super League is former Liverpool star Luis Garcia.

The former Barcelona and Liverpool star was one of the star players in the first edition of the League and he also won it with Atletico de Kolkata which is why he is still fondly remembered and will always be.

The Spaniard has opined that he would definitely consider coming out of retirement to take part in the ISL in the near future if called for, considering the meteoric rise of the league since its inception in 2014.

"Though I didn't go back to the Indian Super League for a second year, as I wasn't too sure then if the league would be as good as the first edition," Garcia told Mid Day.

He added, "Since then I have heard a lot of positive feedback about ISL 2. I don't think I will ever close any doors or rule out a return to the ISL in future."

Luis Garcia made a huge impact in the first edition of the Indian Super League in ATK colours and led the team all the way to the silverware.

The marquee player of the Kolkata franchise won the 'Most Exciting Player of the Season' award for his attacking play in the 13 games he played and was also a vital contributor to ATK's title victory that season.

Now, three years down the line, Garcia has opened up opportunities for his return to the ISL, citing that he would definitely consider making a comeback if he was offered a good contract and also praised the progress of the League over the years.
