La Plata, Jul 20: In an enthralling semi-final encounter, Uruguay beat Peru 2-0 to move into the title clash of Copa America 2011. Luis Suarez, emerged as the hero for Uruguay when he struck twice in three minutes to ensure that his team stayed on course for a record 15th title.

Uruguay will take on either Paraguay or Venezuela in the Copa America final at the Monumental in Buenos Aires.

Suarez gave his team the lead in the 53rd minute of the second half of game when he caressed the ball into the goal-post after it was shot left-footed by Diego Forlan from outside the box forcing Raul Fernandez into a diving save.

He was at it again three minutes later when Alvaro Pereira passed between two defenders from the left. Suarez ditched the offside trap, forcing Fernandez to come to the edge of the box and then steered the ball into the goal-post.

In the post-match interview, Suarez informed that it was his team's plan to go all out in the game and not follow the defensive style they had resorted to for the quarter-final encounter against Argentina. He said, "Today was a match in which we had to go out and attack, to play, and luckily it worked out well."

Speaking about the final encounter, he said, "I think that to play the final in Argentina is great. Now we have to enjoy (the moment), the important thing is we reached the final which was our objective."
