Kolkata, August 26: Manchester United attacker Romelu Lukaku has hailed the impact of his Belgium national team's assistant coach Thierry Henry, saying getting coached by him is the best thing that has happened to him and also adding that he has been blessed with a lot of good mentors through out his career.
Henry is working with Lukaku at the Belgium national team for the last one year as Roberto Martinez's assistant and since then the outcomes have been obliterating.
The 24-year-old scored an outstanding 25 goals in Premier League last season and also continued his progress this year also as the former Everton striker has scored four times in three competitive starts since his £75million summer move to Manchester United.
And for his improvements, the attacker has now hailed the former Arsenal striker's input and credited him for giving him a huge impact on his stellar start to life at Manchester United.
The Belgium international also suggested that getting a chance to train and play alongside players like Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto'o, Nicolas Anelka and Fernando Torres also has improved him drastically over the years.
The 24-year-old told NBC: "Henry is the best thing that has happened to me because since I came to England aged 18 I have had the best mentors.
"I have had possibly the five best strikers of the last ten years as mentors.
"I had Didier Drogba, Nicolas Anelka, Samuel Eto'o, Fernando Torres and now, Thierry Henry. That's not bad, is it?
"It is the best thing that could happen in my career because I am a young guy.
"Thierry for me is the best. Every day whether it is positive and negative I take it in my stride because I know what is expected from the top level."
Lukaku added: "Working with him in Belgium I really take my time with him asking questions, I don't take him for granted, I sometimes ask him questions for two hours.
"I will get the information that I need and take it on board."
Manchester United will host Leicester City on Saturday and the Belgian attacker will be looking to add to his tally again against the Foxes to continue his domination in the scoring chart.
