EPL 2024-25 is around the corner and all the teams are busy in this penultimate hour of this summer transfer to bolster their squad further and the defending champion Manchester City is not an exception.
In this transfer window, for the Sky Blues, the only significant signing is Savinho, the young Brazilian winger and recently they have lost Julian Alvarez to Atletico Madrid, creating a void in the squad. However finding a backup for Rodri is the need of the hour for City as the Spanish CDM is playing too many games, escalating the chances of injury. In the defence, finding a replacement for Kyle Walker is also important.

Dusan Vlahovic
The Serbian forward currently plays for the Serie A side Juventus and is currently valued at £55m. Though in the last two injury-stricken seasons managed to score only 26 goals before that with Fiorentina he was phenomenal. According to many experts, he could be very useful for Man City in the EPL as he could be an ideal replacement for Alvarez.
Rodrygo
With the arrival of Mbappe, it will be difficult for Rodrygo to secure a regular spot in Real Madrid's starting line-up. Though reportedly the 23-year-old striker wants to fight for his place, it will be an opportunity for the Spanish giant to offload the player. According to Marca, earlier this year Man City were also keen to sign the Brazilian who is currently valued at £102m. Last season Rdrygo scored 17 goals along with 7 assists for Real Madrid in all competitions.
Eberechi Eze
The 26-year-old English forward currently plays for the EPL side Crystal Palace and last season scored 11 goals for the club. He is a potential transfer target of Man City and Guardiola also is an admirer of his talents. Despite his comparatively affordable release clause of £60m, it will be difficult for the Sky Blues as Crystal Palace is not eager to send the winger away. Earlier in this transfer window Tottenham
Bradley Barcola
The 21-year-old France International joined PSG last summer from Lyon. He scored five goals and provided nine assists in 42 appearances for PSG. Though the Ligue1 side is unwilling to sell the forward in this last hour of the transfer window, Man City would like to add the youngster to their squad.
Despite the replacement of Rodri and Walker in need of the hour, any transfer news about signing any defender is yet to come. From the pre-season matches and the Community Shield, it is evident that Guardiola will give more chances to the 19-year-old defensive-midfielder Rico Lewis to prepare him as an alternative to Rodri. Hence, it is quite possible that City may not go for any further signing in this transfer window.
