Manchester United's new signing Patrick Dorgu has received a Red Card in the Premier League match against Ipswich Town on Wednesday (February 26).
Dorgu received his marching orders in the 43rd minute of the match as the Red Devils went down to 10 men at the Old Trafford.

Patrick Dorgu was sent off after a lunging tackle on Ipswich Town's Omari Hutchinson. The Man United defender, who was a January arrival from Italian club Lecce, went with force and his reckless challenge on the player. He slid in with force and his studs hit straight at the shin of Hutchinson.
VAR was involved in it and after a check, Dorgu's tackle was deemed worthy of a Red Card. The Belgian thus received his marching orders in his first start at Old Trafford, only the 4th appearance in his Man United career.
The VAR has been a vague area of the Premier League, and plenty of decisions have been protested against it. But the technology was absolutely right in Patrick Dorgu's case. The on-field referee Darren England gave the Red Card and VAR, after a brief check, upheld the decision.
The Man United defender came in with force and the tackle was dangerous and reckless, to say the least. Also, the point of contact was quite high on Hutchinson's leg, which absolutely warranted a Red Card.
"It's terrible. It's awful. He caught him right at the shin. It has to be a Red Card. It looks even worse in replay," former Premier League referee Mike Dean said on Sky Sports.
Manchester United suffered an immediate setback as Nottingham Forest scored minutes after Dorgu's marching orders. At the half time, the score remains deadlocked at 2-2 at the Old Trafford. Jaden Philogene-Bidace has scored a brace for Ipswich while Sam Morsy's own goal and Matthijs de Ligt contributed in the United scoresheet.
