Manchester United have announced the acquisition of Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich. The Moroccan international has penned a four-year deal with the Red Devils, valued at up to £17 million. This transfer marks the second player joining from Bayern Munich on the same day, following Matthijs de Ligt's arrival.
Mazraoui expressed his excitement about joining Manchester United, stating, "It's an incredible feeling to be a Manchester United player, and I cannot wait to walk out at Old Trafford wearing the red shirt." He added that he is joining the club at an exciting time and feels the collective ambition to win trophies together.

The defender is reuniting with Erik ten Hag, who was instrumental in his development at Ajax. Mazraoui said, "Erik ten Hag played an important part in my development as a player, so it is exciting to be reuniting with him as I enter the prime years of my career." He emphasised his understanding of Ten Hag's expectations and his commitment to helping the team succeed.
Mazraoui joined Bayern Munich in July 2022 and made 55 appearances across all competitions during his two-year stint. Despite limited Bundesliga appearances last season (19), he created the third-most chances among Bayern defenders (15).
This transfer window has been busy for Manchester United. Mazraoui is their fourth signing, following Joshua Zirkzee and Lenny Yoro. Meanwhile, Aaron Wan-Bissaka left earlier on Tuesday to join West Ham.

With these new additions, Manchester United aims to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season. The club's management and fans are hopeful that these signings will contribute significantly to their success on the field.
Mazraoui's reunion with Ten Hag is particularly noteworthy as it brings back a successful player-coach partnership from their Ajax days. This familiarity could prove beneficial for both Mazraoui and Manchester United as they strive for excellence in domestic and international competitions.
