Manchester City are aiming to bring Chelsea's Ben Chilwell to the club in the summer, according to reports.
Ben Chilwell was purchased from Leicester City for a £50 million fee prior to the 2020-21 campaign, and he enjoyed immediate success at Stamford Bridge. Despite a fine first season at the London club, he has found things difficult afterwards at Stamford Bridge.
Chilwell has suffered with injuries big time. A serious knee injury hampered his last season followed by a long-term hamstring injury early in the current campaign, which has limited his opportunities this season.
Chilwell returned from his hamstring issue with a brief appearance off the bench against Fulham on February 3. With the likes of Marc Cucurella in the team, Chilwell's opportunity may well remain limited in the coming months at Chelsea.

And Man City want to take the opportunity and bring him at the Etihad. Joao Cancelo's sudden departure has put them wanting someone to fill in at the left-back position, and the England international can be a perfect replacement given he keeps himself fit.
Chilwell's ability to go forward and create dangerous situations offensively is a key reason why Pep Guardiola is interested to sign him. Also, reports have suggested Man City are keeping an eye on several options and will make a decision on their targets in May or June.
Although Chilwell can be a prudent signing for the Premier League champions, his injury proneness can become a hindrance in the move. The Englishman has missed 53 games in just the past two seasons, hence it can be a gamble for the City if they choose to sign him.
But to look at the positives, Chilwell is a fantastic player who has been a proven performer in the Premier League. When fit, he is one of the best in his position in the league and his ability to cross the balls and pick passes will be a blessing for the likes of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez. The 26-year-old still has a lot of football ahead of him and under Guardiola, his overall play can flourish even further.
