Manchester City plan raid on Premier League rivals Chelsea and Tottenham

Bengaluru, December 15: Manchester City are set to launch a sensational double raid on Totteham and Chelsea, according to reports from the Manchester Evening News.

Man City boss Pep Guardiola is reportedly prepared to break the bank in order to bring Spurs star striker Harry Kane and Chelsea winger Eden Hazard to the Etihad.

Spanish outlet Don Balon claims the City boss is planning a 'revolution' at the Etihad as he looks to strengthen his side's attacking options while weakening the Blues' domestic rivals.

This is a similar tactic Guardiola opted for in Germany as he signed star players like Gotze and Lewandowski from Borussia Dortmund but things will not be that simple in England as neither Chelsea nor Spurs are under any kind of financial strain to sell their priced assets and that too to a direct rival.

The report suggests that Guardiola wants two 'galactico signings' to cement their position as the country's top team by some distance.

The Cityzens are leading the Premier League by as many as 11 points already and are expected to lift the domestic silverware at the end of the campaign but Guardiola wants his team to be invincible and complete a quadruple.

While the signing of Eden Hazard seems like a reverie given his integral role in the Chelsea squad, a successful move for Harry Kane seems much more possible.

Spurs have a tight wage structure and cannot offer Kane what he will get at the Etihad. Kane could be the long-term successor to Sergio Aguero at the club.

Reports claim Spurs would only consider selling him for a fee of around £170million.

The Blues will get a first-hand look at the England striker on Saturday (December 16) as they host Mauricio Pochettino's side in the Premier League.
