The Premier League has announced the schedule for the 2025-26 season, revealing the fixtures for the upcoming campaign. The fixture list outlines 380 matches divided in 38 matchweeks for all the 20 participants. Each team will play 38 matches, 19 at home and 19 away.

The 2023-24 PL champions Manchester City’s season will begin with their opening-day fixture against the Wolves at Molineux on August 16, 2025. On September 13, City will face their archrival Manchester United at Etihad Stadium in the first Manchester Derby of the season, and will face Arsenal in an away fixture just in the next matchweek. The one of the most anticipated fixtures of PL, against Liverpool will be on November 8 and February 7. The PL 2025-26 will be concluded on May 24, 2026 and City will play against Aston Villa in the Matchweek 38.

However, the squad for the season has yet to be confirmed by the club, as the main summer transfer window is yet to open till June 16. However, as a participant of the Club World Cup 2025, City got the opportunity to avail the 10-day long mini transfer window, earlier this month and they already had some notable signings for the key positions.

The 2025-26 squad shows Manchester City’s intent to compete for the Premier League title after finishing third in 2024-25. Notable departures include Kevin De Bruyne, whose contract expired and Kyle Walker, loaned to AC Milan with an option to buy. New signings include Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Cherki, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Marcus Bettineli and Sverre Nypan. Erling Haaland, secured with a new contract, remains central, alongside Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias in defense.
