Manchester United and manager Erik Ten Hag have been pretty active in the ongoing summer transfer window this season. The Dutch manager appears to be adamant about improving the team further after a third-place finish and the Carabao Cup win last season.
The last season saw the Old Trafford side venturing into the squad transition and the ongoing window is already experiencing the same. Ten Hag prior to the season prioritized three positions to improve upon and all of those very quickly have been sorted.

With Mason Mount, Andre Onana, and upcoming Rasmus Hojlund signings, the club have secured a long-term solution for three vital positions in the first-team XI. But it is now believed that Ten Hag is still looking to add one more name to the side at least before the start of the season.
As per rumours, United are looking to add another midfielder who could act as a cover for star defensive midfielder Casemiro. The Dutch manager reportedly has targeted Fiorentina's Sofyan Amrabat who also caught the eye during the 2022 World Cup for Morocco.
However, it is understood that United's hands are tied in terms of any unaccounted transfers due to financial fair play limitations. United have already spent close to £160 million on three transfers and as of now, they apparently have no more money to spend on new deals.
The only way United will be able to sign Amrabat is if they manage to clear some first-team players. United are as of now packed in the midfield and for Amrabat's transfer, the club apparently have put three first-team players Scott Mctominay, Fred, and Donny van de Beek on sale.
Scott Mctominay is the costliest among them with United placing almost £40 million price tag on his shoulder. It has made him unattainable for many sides and he is likely to remain in the side. However, the rest two midfielders are likely to depart the club to fund a move for the Morocco international.
Fred has not played any pre-season games and is almost sure to leave the side. He will probably bring in a fee close to £10-15 million. Van De Beek too reportedly has been told to leave the side and with Real Sociedad interested in him, his transfer could recover £15-20 million.
Amrabat's reported price is said to be close to £20-25 million and if that's the case United will be able to acquire him once they get deals done for these two.
