Manchester United's Harry Maguire Confident Of Significant Improvement Next Season Following Europa League Final

Harry Maguire believes Manchester United will show significant improvement next season after their Europa League final against Tottenham. Despite a challenging Premier League campaign, United remains unbeaten in Europe this season and aims to secure silverware.

Harry Maguire is optimistic about Manchester United's future under Ruben Amorim, especially after their first pre-season together. However, his current focus remains on winning the Europa League. United will face Tottenham in the final in Bilbao on Wednesday. Both teams aim to secure silverware and Champions League spots after disappointing seasons. They are currently 16th and 17th in the Premier League.

United have been impressive in Europe, remaining unbeaten in major UEFA competitions this season. They have won nine and drawn five of their 14 Europa League matches. If successful, they could join Chelsea, Villarreal, and Eintracht Frankfurt as teams that won the Europa League without a loss. Maguire, who scored a crucial header against Lyon, believes they are progressing well.

Maguire Confident of United's Improvement Next Season

Maguire expressed frustration over their inconsistent performance this season. "When you play for this club, you want to win every football match," he stated. The Premier League results haven't met expectations, but the Europa League has shown their capability to compete at a high level. Maguire is confident that next season will see significant improvement after a full pre-season.

The upcoming final is a special occasion for United. "We have prepared well the last few days and it’s one that we are looking forward to," Maguire said. This will be United's ninth major European final, with only Liverpool having reached more among English clubs.

United have struggled in recent finals, losing three of their last four against Barcelona and Villarreal. Maguire was an unused substitute during the defeat to Villarreal under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but has since reestablished himself in the team after challenging years.

"It's amazing to be back in the team and playing regularly," Maguire shared. He doesn't pay much attention to media criticism or praise. "When you play for this club, you can be an amazing player and the following week you can be the villain," he noted.

Maguire remains focused on giving his best every game while maintaining a balanced perspective despite external opinions.
