Manchester United secured a crucial victory against Ipswich Town, winning 3-2 at Old Trafford. Harry Maguire's decisive header ensured the win for United, marking their first Premier League triumph since January. Ipswich initially took the lead when Jaden Philogene capitalised on a defensive error. Patrick Dorgu inadvertently assisted Philogene by passing the ball past Andre Onana, who had left his goal unguarded.

United responded swiftly with two goals in quick succession. Sam Morsy's own goal levelled the score, followed by Matthijs de Ligt's powerful finish after Alex Palmer's double save. The match took another turn when Patrick Dorgu received a red card for a late tackle on Omari Hutchinson, reducing Ipswich to ten men.

Despite being down a player, Ipswich equalised through Philogene's cross that eluded Onana. However, Maguire's header from a corner sealed the win for United. This victory lifted them to 14th place with 33 points, while Ipswich remained third-bottom, trailing Wolverhampton Wanderers by five points.

Under Ruben Amorim's leadership since November 24, they have often conceded early goals but managed comebacks.
