Manchester United keen on signing new forward in the summer despite Rasmus Hojlund's recent form

Manchester United are reportedly looking to add another striker to their ranks in the summer despite Rasmus Hojlund's exceptional form of late. As reported by MUFC MPB, via Rob Dawson, the Red Devils are looking to bring a new attacker to ease the burden off the young Dane's shoulders.

Hojlund joined Manchester United from Atalanta in the summer for a fee rising to £72 million. However, the 21-year-old failed to hit the ground running at Old Trafford. He failed to find the back of the net in his first 14 Premier League appearances.

The Dane has, however, been in exceptional form since then having scored seven goals and provided two assists in his last six league outings. He also finished as the top scorer for United in the Champions League group stages with five goals in six games.

The Red Devils are sixth in the table right now and find themselves just five points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur and three points behind fifth-placed Aston Villa. However, they have scored just 35 goals in 25 games and have a goal difference, which might explain the hunt for another striker.

Here, we will take a look at three strikers they could potentially look to sign in the summer.

Goncalo Ramos

Goncalo Ramos has struggled to establish himself as a key player at PSG following his mega money move from Benfica last summer. The Portugal international has been a bit-part player for the French giants this season and has scored seven goals in around 1100 minutes of first team football. Ramos could be on his way out of PSG in search of regular first team football and could be a solid aigning at Manchester United.

Ivan Toney

Ivan Toney has shown that he is a reliable goalscorer at the highest level with Brentford. A big move is certainly on the cards for the England international and he could be a fantastic signing for Manchester United. Hojlund and Toney competing for place up front could be quite fascinating for the Red Devils who have struggled for goals this season.

Victor Osimhen

An elite striker, Victor Osimhen would be a dream signing for any top club in Europe. The Nigeria internations looks ready for his big move away from Napoli and would be a great addition to the Red Devils. However, signing Osimhen could halt the development of Hojlund who would effectively become a backup should the Napoli hitman join the Red Devils
