Manchester United lead the pack chasing Daniel James

Reports in England claim Manchester United are in pole position for Daniel James, ahead of North West rivals Liverpool.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer set for busy summer

Bengaluru, May 9: Manchester United are leading the race for in-demand Swansea ace Daniel James, according to reports in England.

Leeds United missed out on the Welshman, 21, in January as the Swans pulled the plug at the last minute on deadline day. And now reports in England claim, Manchester United are in pole position for a summer move, ahead of North West rivals Liverpool.

James has caught the eye at Swansea this season, with his lightning pace being a nightmare for defences. And he has made a goalscoring start to his Wales career with one goal in two caps under Old Trafford legend Ryan Giggs.

The forward is out of contract at the end of next season and could be snapped up for a bargain £10million.

The Red Devils are ready for a reshuffle this summer as they try and fix their ailing squad. United gaffer Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is ready to boot Anthony Martial out of Old Trafford due to his poor attitude in training.

The Manchester United boss admitted after Sunday’s pathetic 1-1 draw at relegated Huddersfield that people might have seen the last of some players.

Martial was not in the squad and now United will listen to offers for the Frenchman. The former Monaco star angered fans with his sloppy and lacklustre warm up before the last home game against Chelsea.

Latest reports claim that a similar poor attitude in training has infuriated Solskjaer. However, he will not be the only one kicked out, with the club also desperately trying to find a way to get £505,000-a-week Alexis Sanchez off their wage bill.

Ander Herrera and Juan Mata are already on their way out with their contracts up and no new deals agreed. The Red Devils could also flog Paul Pogba off if they receive a good enough offer for him as Real Madrid and Juventus still seem to be interested in the World Cup winner.
