Matheus Cunha, Manchester United's latest signing, joyfully announced the birth of his second child just hours before the club embarked on its US pre-season tour.
Cunha's arrival comes as Ruben Amorim's squad prepared to face West Ham, Bournemouth, and Everton in friendly matches during their American tour, starting July 26 at MetLife Stadium. Though Cunha made his debut for the Red Devils last week in a friendly against Leeds United in Stockholm, it remains uncertain when he will join the main squad following his daughter's birth.

But before that, the player experienced fatherhood as his wife gave birth to their newborn daughter.
The Brazilian forward and his wife Gabriela welcomed their daughter, Liz, sharing heartfelt photos from the hospital on social media, accompanied by their son Levi. Cunha's Instagram post warmly read: "Hello world I'm Liz. And we are 4 now. I am very blessed to have you. Thanks God for everything."
The 26-year-old striker's move to Manchester United was finalized in early June after the club paid a £62.5 million release clause to Wolverhampton Wanderers. Cunha signed a five-year contract with an option for an additional year. Speaking about his transfer, he said, "It is hard to put into words my feelings about becoming a Manchester United player. Ever since I was a child in Brazil watching Premier League games on TV at my grandmother's house, United was my favourite English team and I dreamed of wearing the red shirt."
Cunha expressed gratitude to his family and supporters for helping him realize this dream and emphasized his focus on integrating with his new teammates and contributing to returning Manchester United to its former glory.
The player's family is relocating to Manchester as Cunha embarks on this new chapter under Amorim's management, who is intent on overhauling the team's frontline to reshape Manchester United's fortunes after a challenging previous season.
