London, Dec 11: Manchester United's backup goalkeeper Sergio Romero is reportedly considering his future at Old Trafford according to reports.

The Argentine international has been an understudy for the Red Devils since his arrival from Sampdoria in 2015 and has been limited mostly in the cup competitions.

The 30-year-old although made 18 appearances in all competitions for United last season and was the first choice keeper for United in Europa competitions but this season he has only played four times.

De Gea's superb form in front of the sticks now has mostly made it sure that the Argentine number one had to settle for an understudy for years to come. Now according to reports, with world cup knocking at the door, the keeper is believed to be concerned with his lack of football.

Although his position as Argentina number one has not been taken away yet. However, according to reports, the former AZ Alkmaar player is said to be open to a move away from the club in January if his chances of keeping the goalkeeping position for Argentina in next summer's World Cup in Russia experience any kind of concern.

Meanwhile, Manchester United attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan reportedly wants is open to a move away from the club in January after the Armenia international Mkhitaryan fell out of favour with the Red Devils in recent weeks.

He started the season strong with five assists in his opening three Premier League games but has not registered anything for the Red Devils since the UEFA Champions League win over CSKA Moscow on September 27.

The 28-year-old has been repeatedly left out of the squad in the last couple of weeks because of recent poor display and now reportedly he wants to have talks with manager Jose Mourinho to discuss if he has any future still at the club.

His former club Borussia Dortmund and Premier League rival Arsenal have reportedly shown in the player if he is available in January window.
