Manchester United outcast Antony is set to leave the club and join Spanish team Real Betis on loan, as per reports.
Antony is preparing to travel to Spain on Friday to finalize his loan move to Real Betis, marking a significant step in his career. Manchester United reached an agreement with the Spanish club earlier this week for a season-long loan, but the deal was delayed due to hesitation from United manager Ruben Amorim.

However, all issues have now been resolved, with Amorim giving the green light for the 24-year-old Brazilian winger to leave. Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed the latest development, which will see the Brazilian leaving the Red Devils on loan for now.
Antony is set to travel to Spain on Friday night and as per the deal, no buy option is included. The Brazilian's salary shall also be shared by both clubs. Although there were reports of a potential buy clause in the summer, the English club has decided to keep a hold on that.
The move comes as Antony has struggled to make a significant impact at Manchester United since his high-profile £85.6 million transfer from Ajax in 2022. His performances have often been inconsistent, and he has faced criticism for failing to live up to the expectations that came with his hefty price tag. A fresh start in Spain offers Antony the opportunity to rediscover his form and confidence, which could benefit both the player and United in the long term.
Real Betis, currently sitting 12th in La Liga and recently eliminated from the Copa del Rey following a 5-1 defeat to Barcelona, are hopeful Antony can bring much-needed creativity and attacking flair to their squad. While the winger will not arrive in time for Saturday's match against Mallorca, Betis are optimistic he could debut against Athletic Bilbao on February 2.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are actively working on bolstering their squad and have turned their attention to Lecce's versatile wide player, Patrick Dorgu. United's initial offer of £22.8m for the 20-year-old was rejected, with Lecce holding out for £33.8m.
