Manchester United's captain Bruno Fernandes recently opened up about his conversation with Erik ten Hag after his sacking.
Fernandes, who was appointed captain by Ten Hag, admitted to feeling a personal responsibility, especially since he hadn't scored this season until a penalty against Chelsea.

Although Manchester United looked way out of sorts under Ten Hag, Fernandes reflected on his relationship with the ex-Man United boss, and took a share of the blame on players' behalf for their dismal start to the season.
"It is not good for anyone at the club when the manager goes. You have to take some of the blame on yourself because it is the team that is not doing so well and it is easier to get rid of a manager than 15 players," Fernandes told Sky Sports after Man United's stalemate against Chelsea.
He also confirmed talking and apologizing to Ten Hag following his sacking. The two shared a special bond but the Portugal international will now have to move on with his compatriot Ruben Amorim, who has been appointed as the next head coach.
"I spoke to the manager and apologised. We are not scoring goals and I feel responsible. I normally score a lot of goals but I always give 100% and he is aware of that," he added.
Amid these managerial changes, Fernandes also touched upon the upcoming tenure of Ruben Amorim, who will join Manchester United from Sporting during the international break. Having left Sporting before Amorim's arrival there, Fernandes has kept an eye on his former club and praised Amorim's impact.
"Ruben Amorim brought excitement back to the club. It was a little bit split when he came but he transformed everything and brought everyone together," the Man United captain concluded.
