Former Manchester United winger Jesse Lingard has landed himself in a controversy after trying to fool police with a fake identity after being caught speeding.
The England international Lingard, who appeared at Manchester Magistrates Court last week, pled guilty. He has been banned from driving for six months alongside was forced to pay a fine of £900 - as well as an additional £565 in court costs.

After a details investigation, he was adjusted guilty last week and has been handed the penalty.

Lingard's driving penalty is unlikely to help his hunt for a new club this summer, with the 32-cap England international looking for a new contract.
The 30-year-old left Manchester United as a free agent last season and joined Nottingham Forest with a one-year deal becoming their highest earner ahead of their return to the Premier League.
Lingard featured in only 17 league games, struggling with a hamstring injury before falling down Steve Cooper's pecking order.
Forest did not extend the deal further making the former West Ham loanee without a club so far.
Lingard reportedly is yet to receive any deal from the current Premier League side. He was last seen on the field in Lionel Messi'c new club Inter Miami, practicing and keeping up his fitness.
It has linked him with a move to MLS while there are also reports that he is pushing to seek a cash-riched move to Saudi Arabia as well.
