Kolkata, March 16: Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is still determined to land Chelsea star Willian in the summer as per reports in England.
The Brazilian winger is a big favourite of Mourinho whom he signed for Chelsea during his time at the club. Willian struggled for opportunities at Stamford Bridge earlier this season but now he has become a regular in the starting XI under Conte.
However, it is believed that Conte and Willian still do not share the best relationship and Mourinho is looking to make another attempt to sign the versatile attacking midfielder.
The Red Devils tried to snap-up the 29-year-old last summer, but were told there was no chance of him leaving.
Mourinho has sent scouts to keep tabs on the ex- Shakhtar Donetsk ace on a number of occasions this season.
And, Manchester United want to go back in for Willian at the end of this campaign, to help their Premier League title hopes.
An Old Trafford source said: “Jose is still interested in him. The club had a sniff last year but Matic was the only possibility.
“He does not have long left on his contract. The boss is a huge fan of his, he is always pull of praise.
“God knows where this leaves the rest of the wide players at the club but it cannot be good for them.
“He is a fantastic trainer with a great attitude towards his football according to Jose.”
Willian wants to sit down with Chelsea at the end of the season for talks over a new contract but it is not known whether the Blues will be willing to give him bumper new terms.
It is also understood he could cost up to £60million despite being 29-years-old now.
