Manchester United are on the verge of a major ownership change. The Glazers, the current owners of the club put them for sale and it looks only a matter of time for a new owner now.
Manchester United's takeover saga is still rolling and the never-ending cycle seems to be finally reaching a conclusion now. It looks imminent that Qatari billionaire Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani will acquire the Red Devils in the coming days.

The Qatar Islamic Bank Chairman has been in talks with the Glazers about a possible takeover since last November, and made his fifth and final bid last week for the coup.
His current bid of $6 billion-plus will be one of the biggest deals in the sports world, and it is edging towards a conclusion. Various reports have already confirmed that the Glazers are willing to accept the deal and are now only allowed to negotiate with the Qatari investors.
British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe was also in the race to buy Man Utd, but in the last few weeks, his pursuit has lost pace and the Middle-East giants are currently in the driving seat to buy the Old Trafford club.
It is understood that Sheikh Jassim's bid will clear all of Man United's debts and it is also set to provide them with a significant amount of war chest for the summer transfer window.
The Glazers bought Manchester United for 790 million pounds in 2005 and have had a topsy-turvy relationship with the club and the supporters. A section of Man Utd fans have shown their displeasure with the current owners in the past and the pulse across Old Trafford would dearly want the takeover to get completed.
Although Man United takeover can have twists and turns, for now, it seems to heading towards one direction. If things go according to the expected timeline, we may see Sheikh Jassim waving his hands from the Old Trafford owner's stand come the start of the 2023-24 season.
