Kolkata, March 15: Premier League giants Manchester United are said to be lining up a £35.5million move for Besiktas star Anderson Talisca.
The attacking midfielder has impressed for the Turkish side this season while on loan from Benfica and has reportedly done enough to attract Jose Mourinho who is looking to add more firepower to his attack for the next season.
Portuguese paper A Bola now claim that the 24-year-old Brazilian's ten goals in 24 matches has seen United enter advanced negotiations for his signature. However, Benfica are holding out for £35.5million for the former Bahia star.
The claims come after Turkish publication Miliyet reported that Wolverhampton Wanderers are still in the running for Talisca. Championship leaders Wolves are willing to stump up the cash for Talisca, who was announced in the Brailian squad recently.
Wolves were taken over by Chinese investors Fosun in 2016 and were linked with him then.
Talisca's agent is Jorge Mendes and the Portuguese has close connections with the Wolves owners who are keeping an eye on his situation.
The Championship hopefuls are in pole position to win promotion to the Premier League which could also help their chase of Talisca.
But the opportunity of playing at Old Trafford and with the likleihood of Champions League football at Manchester United could prove to be hard to turn down for the Brazilian playmaker.
Talisca is predominantly a number ten with an eye for goals and can also feature on the flanks.
He would be a pretty good addition to the Manchester United squad which boasts star players like Sanchez, Lukaku and Martial up front but still lack that cutting edgr and Talisca could surely provide that.
