Manchester United: Two Youngsters impress Man United boss Ruben Amorim, may get opportunity soon

By MyKhel Staff

Manchester United's academy is in focus as two young players are making a big impression on new manager Ruben Amorim, as per reports.

With the first team's strikers struggling to score consistently, Amorim could soon look to these talented youngsters to bring fresh energy and goals to the senior side.

Ruben Amorim, who was recently appointed as Manchester United's manager, has quickly established his philosophy of developing players rather than relying heavily on new signings. The 39-year-old Portuguese coach was hired after impressing club owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe with his focus on improving the current squad and nurturing young talent.

As per Give Me Sport, Amorim's belief in youth development aligns perfectly with Manchester United's history of promoting academy players. He has already taken notice of several youngsters, including Biancheri and Obi-Martin, who could play a role in revitalizing the team's attacking options.

In a recent FA Youth Cup match, Welsh striker Gabriele Biancheri stole the show with a brilliant hat-trick, leading United's Under-18s to a 5-0 win over Coventry. Not to be outdone, Chido Obi-Martin, a 17-year-old forward who joined from Arsenal, added two goals to the tally.

Biancheri's form has been exceptional this season. He has already scored eight goals in just six Under-18 league matches, catching the attention of Amorim and his coaching staff. Obi-Martin, meanwhile, has also been a standout performer, proving to be a consistent threat in front of goal.

With such impressive performances, both players are in contention for opportunities in upcoming matches as Amorim looks to integrate young talent into his first team.

With the first team's strikers struggling for consistency, Amorim may look to give academy stars a chance to shine in cup matches or as substitutes in league games. United will be up against Bournemouth on Sunday and then they travel to Wolves after Christmas, before playing the final match of 2024 at home against Newcastle United.
