The first half is set to start in a moment.
After losing 1-0 to Asean All Stars, Ruben Amorim will be hoping for a better outing in this match. Despite having almost all of their first-team players, the Red Devils fell to a shock defeat in the last match. The Red Devils will be under pressure to deliver a performance that restores confidence among their global fanbase.
For Hong Kong, this match offers a rare opportunity to test themselves against one of Europe's most storied clubs. The fixture promises more than just a spectacle-it's a statement, a cultural event, and potentially a litmus test for United's squad depth and resolve amid off-field distractions and mounting uncertainty.
With player fatigue, transfer rumours, and supporter discontent looming large, this contest is far more than a ceremonial exhibition.
Ahead of the match in Hong Kong, Amorim sent a message to the Man United fans, urging them to come and support the team despite the recent blues.
"If you can afford it - that is the important thing - then you support your club. I have my club as a young kid in Portugal. No matter what the situation was, I was there - and I suffered a lot, in Benfica in the '90s. It was a struggle, a lot, but I never stopped buying tickets and [for] my father it was a gift in my birthday," Amorim said.
"So it's going to be the same [in Hong Kong]. These people believe in Manchester United, no matter what the context. It's our job, it's our duty to improve the team and to improve the next season," he added.
