Manchester United will be playing their penultimate pre-season friendly on Saturday (August 5) ahead of the 2023-24 season.

The Premier League giants will take on French club RC Lens at Old Trafford, which is their penultimate friendly match of the season. Erik ten Hag's team will face Athletic Bilbao on Sunday (August 6), as they are set to play two matches in consecutive days.

Man United, who finished third in the Premier League last season, have already played six friendlies in the pre-season. They won their first three matches, but have lost all of their last three matches.

United's previous match was against Borussia Dortmund which they lost 2-3 at the hands of the German club. The Red Devils will be missing some of their key players for the match as Dean Henderson, Tyrell Malacia, Amad Diallo and Kobbie Mainoo are all ruled out with injuries, while Anthony Martial, Alejandro Garnacho and Raphael Varane are doubtful for the match.

Lens had an excellent 2022-23 season where they finished 2nd in Ligue 1, which means the French club will take part in the Champions League this season.
