Manchester United vs Real Betis Live stream Europa League Manchester United will resume their European title bid as they host another Spanish side in Real Betis in the first leg of the Europa League round of 16 on Thursday night (Friday morning).

Manchester United defeated La Liga heavyweights Barcelona in the playoffs to reach the stage but the morale of the side is severely shattered after the 7-0 mauling by Liverpool at Anfield at the weekend.

The match will also see Manuel Pellegrini, who served as Manchester City boss in the past, return to England as Real Betis boss and could expect a hostile reception from the Old Trafford crowd.

Real Betis are no pushovers as they held La Liga defending champions Real Madrid to a goal-less draw last weekend after three consecutive wins while scoring eight times.

The Sevilla side also topped Group C ahead of AS Roma, while winning all their games except for a draw against the Italian side away. Their away record is strong as well as they won eight of their last 12 matches while travelling; losing just twice.

However, history goes against Real Betis, who have never gone beyond the last-16 stages of the competition yet and will be facing off against Manchester United for the first time.

Manchester United will continue to be without Donny van de Beek and Christian Eriksen as long-term injuries with Marcel Sabitzer joining the duo for recovery.

Real Betis, on the other hand, will be crippled without their star Frenchman Nabil Fekir, who is out for the rest of the season with a ligament injury. Midfielder Juan Cruz is also set to miss the tie while attacking midfielder Sergio Canales resumed training after missing the Real Madrid game.

Pellegrini will be wary of booking concerns as well with four players a card away from missing the second leg at home. The players are Claudio Bravo, German Pezzella, Luiz Felipe and Aitor Ruibal.
