
Manchester United youngster Alvaro Fernandez, who is currently on loan at Preston North End, recently opened up on the impact Cristiano Ronaldo had on him and fellow youngsters.
Cristiano Ronaldo is regarded as one of the greatest players ever to grace the pitch and is quite naturally the inspiration of millions. Fernandez was lucky to share the dressing room with the Portuguese great and has opened up on how the five-time Ballon d'Or winner helped him.
Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United in November last year after mutually terminating his contract following plenty of controversy on and off the pitch. However, he saw his contract terminated with the Red Devils as a result of his explosive interview with British broadcaster Piers Morgan in which he slammed the club, manager Erik ten Hag, former manager Ralf Rangnick and several club legends like Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville.
Alvaro Fernandez has however heaped praise on Cristiano Ronaldo for his attitude towards young players. He claimed that Ronaldo was a class act on and off the pitch. Speaking to AS, the 19-year-old left-back said, "Very well with him, he is very nice. With young people, he is very top, very close. On top of the fact that he spoke Spanish, he knew that he had been in Madrid. They had already told him about me."
