Mario Gotze is in the radar of Gunners this summer

Marip Gotze could join Arsenal ranks this summer

London, July 11: Arsenal are monitoring the situation of Mario Gotze as the player has expressed his desire to play in the Premier League. Another Premier League club Liverpool are also interested to sign the star Borussia Dortmund midfielder this summer. Arsenal have completed the signing of Lucas Torreira and now they will wish to bring in a creative midfielder.

Gotze has been looking forward to move to a new club to regain his form. Arsenal could be a great choice for him. Arsenal have not finished in the top four in the Premier League in last two seasons. Now, under the management of their new manager Unai Emery, the Gunners will look to climb up the ladder next season.

Gotze can play in various positions. He can play as an attacking midfielder and also can be deployed at the wings. Gotze was used as false 9 by former Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp. Gotze's speed, technique, dribbling skills and playmaking abilities are noteworthy and Joachim Low has also used him as false 9 in their World Cup triumph in 2014.

After beginning his career at Borussia Dortmund, Gotze had moved to Bayern Munich with a transfer fee worth £37 million in 2013-14 season. In his first spell at Dortmund, Gotze had scored 31 goals in 116 appearances in all competitions. In his three-season stint in Bayern Munich, Gotze had scored 36 goals in 114 appearances. After that, the German player decided to return to Dortmund in the 2016-17 season with a transfer fee worth £22 million.

But injury has affected his career badly limiting his success. So, if Gotze stays fit throughout the season, he will surely be a good addition to the Gunners.
