Kylian Mbappe was the star of Real Madrid's thrilling 4-3 victory over Olympiacos, scoring all four goals. His remarkable performance included a hat-trick within seven minutes and a fourth goal just before the hour. This achievement made him the first Madrid player to net four goals in a major European away match.

Mbappe's hat-trick was also notable for its speed, being the third-fastest from the start of a Champions League game. Only Robert Lewandowski and Marco Simone have achieved faster hat-tricks in this competition. Mbappe now holds the record for most away hat-tricks in European Cup/Champions League history, with four to his name.

Arda Guler has been instrumental in Mbappe's success this season, providing seven assists across all competitions. This is the highest number of assists by any player for a teammate at a top five European league side in 2025-26. Vinicius Junior also contributed significantly with two assists during the match.

Reflecting on the game, Mbappe stated, "It was very important to win again. We knew we hadn't won in three games, which is a long time for a team like ours." He added that despite conceding early, they managed to dominate and secure victory.
